Dr. Jenna Brkich was raised in a suburb of Albany, New York. She graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies and a minor in pre-med. Dr. Brkich believes the cornerstones of a liberal arts education—critical thinking, communication, understanding social constructs—form the basis of an effective relationship between doctor and patient. Dr. Brkich earned her medical degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, after which she completed a four-year surgical residency at Temple University Hospital. Her residency training focused on podiatric medicine and forefoot surgery with added credentialing in ankle trauma and rearfoot reconstruction. During her fourth year of training, she served as chief resident. Dr. Brkich joins the Frankford Podiatry team with special interest in foot and ankle trauma, limb salvage, and surgical and non-surgical treatment options for Charcot neuroarthropathy. Jenna enjoys spending time with her husband, a Philadelphia native, and their 15 year old Jack Russell Terrier, Lola.
